An idyllic Italian wedding in a historical villa near Verona

Last July, I created the floral decorations for the wedding of a young Italian couple with a small daughter.

When I first met Barbara she told me what she told me her vision for her special day. She wanted a very light graceful idyllic style and chose a delicate palette with shades from light pink to peach, white, a light blue brush and olive green.

They got married in a very quaint little old church near a unique square pond which gave  it a distinctive quality.

I decided to create organic floral decorations to match the earthy and rustic style of the church. I chose olive to which I addedaspirational aminvisnaga, delicate camomille and pretty eustoma. On the marble balustrades flickering candles create a soft intimate atmosphere.

After the ceremony, the reception was held in a faboulous 500 hundred year old villa just outside Verona.

In the same theme I made natural elegant compositions for the tables in the beautiful painted dining hall. Being summer, I was able to use cornflowers in the compositions. Cornflower was one of Barbara’s preferred flowers and added that lightness and gentleness to all the decorations..

For the natural style of the bridal bouquet I chose scented garden roses, airy false goat’s beard, delicate eustoma and some eucalyptus. The bouquet was a perfect match to Barbara’s bridal gown that had a lovely cape. For her beautiful 3 year old daughter, I created a very pretty floral wreath.
