3 ideas to create a flower bar for your event

In November I wrote a post about the creation of an autumnal bouquet during my October masterclass. In this post I would like to explain my creative approach and the final results.

  • First of all it’s fundamental to choose your colours carefully.

  • Pay attention to details.

  • Take inspiration from various trends but personalize it into your own style.

  • Don’t be afraid to think outside of the box.

  • Take your time and be inspired by anything and everything and let your imagination run wild!

For the different themed creations I gathered images to make mood-boards and then carefully chose each colour palette. The first step was to gather images to create some moodboards and then I chose the colour palette. Only after these two steps I developed the three different themes.

English tea-time was the first theme. I chose blue and white china teacups, small gold flower filled bowls and glass stands with moss and blossoms. The final touch was tiny violet candies amidst flickering candles.

For the second theme I imagined a summer afternoon in a small shady garden with laughing friends and cold cocktails. For this image I used coloured water in vases, a garden flower arrangements and delicate small bouquets. Fruit and flowers on a vintage stand coupled with blueberries in vases, added to the summer vibe.

For the last theme the dreamlike atmosphere of Alice in Wonderland was perfect.

For this I decorated a round table with coloured candies, lollypops, bud vases with dancing flowers and, long candles. I decorated a transparent crystal stand with vivid green moss and vibrant bold flowers.

A magical table that carried you into other worlds through your senses!
